In the Poltava region detained a local resident, verbovka and taking out people for free labor
The staff of Department of fight against crimes connected with human trafficking, established that the inhabitant of Poltava region is involved in the recruitment, transportation and transfer of citizens for labour exploitation in agriculture in the neighboring country. The malefactor is detained while trying to cross the border and smuggle three Ukrainians.
According to the Department of communication of the police in Poltava region, established that the 23-year-old resident Chutovskoy district recruiting area residents, ostensibly for the best work in the neighboring country.
“In fact, they were sold to perform hard physical work and practice begging. Victims indicate that they have seized all the documents and the restricted freedom of movement. Living conditions in the barracks did not meet sanitary conditions. Worked overtime for non-labor plan was not given food. Funds for the work citizens did not receive”, – said the head of the Poltava regional police Oleg Bech .
Law enforcement authorities jointly with the State border guard service of Ukraine while attempting to cross the border detained a 23-year-old man. He tried to take in the car for the border of three citizens of Ukraine for their further labour exploitation.
During the searches, police found and seized mobile phones, SIM cards for Ukrainian and foreign operators of payment card, passport and a subject similar to a pistol-type revolver.
Continues pre-trial investigation under part 1 of article 149 of the Criminal code of Ukraine (human trafficking or other illegal transaction, the object of which is man, as well as the recruitment, transfer, concealment, transfer or receipt of a person, committed for the purpose of exploitation, using deception, blackmail or vulnerable state of a person). The sanction of article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term from 3 to 8 years.
