The soldiers with amputated limbs will be able to undergo rehabilitation in Irpen
The Department of rehabilitation of patients with amputated limbs opened on Saturday in Irpen on the basis of the Military medical clinical centre of occupational pathology of the Armed forces of Ukraine.
As reported the press service of the Ministry of defense of Ukraine, the patients are soldiers who were injured and have already experienced an amputation. By consent they will be sent to the Department from different military medical centers of the Ministry of defense.
As the head of the military medical clinical centre in Irpen Andrew Fir, with the first patients in an open office will begin on 26 December of this year. According to him, the Department has 10 beds and is designed for the final stage of medical rehabilitation, preparation for prosthetics and patient adaptation .
“The advantage of the center is the spaciousness, effective treatment methods, qualified personnel, and the availability of a platform for the presentation of products of domestic and foreign manufacturers of prostheses”, – said A. Cal.
It is planned to expand the system of medical rehabilitation and treatment on the basis of the military medical clinical centers in Kiev, Odessa, Kharkov, Lvov and Vinnitsa.
